Panax Ginseng for Men's Health: Evidence & Interaction Guide
Panax (Asian) ginseng is widely marketed for energy and sexual wellness, while NCCIH describes much of the clinical evidence as limited or preliminary.
What NCCIH says
Trials are often small and short. Some evidence suggests small effects in selected areas such as fatigue or cognition, but that is not evidence that ginseng treats BPH.
Safety
Insomnia is the most common reported side effect. NCCIH also notes uncertainty about interactions with several medicines and advises people who take medication to discuss ginseng with their healthcare provider.
What this means for a blend
When ginseng appears inside a multi-ingredient product, evaluate the full formula—not just the reputation of one herb.
